sweet deal! but I think it's more of a "visit" place rather than a "live forever" place...

I would say TO/NYC/London are too expensive to live in. I'd say Vancouver. Or Washington, but my impression of DC was that there were goddamn pillars on everything, which got kind of annoying. Mind you, I was just there for the band trip, and I remember it being a beautiful city other than that. Washington or Vancouver. And since I'm a patriotic Canadian, I'd vote Vancouver, though money might be better in DC.

hope you dont mind a strangers opinion. I'd pick DC. but the Virginia side, not maryland. compared to virginia, maryland is a dump. if you think the houses on the maryland side are huge, they're even bigger on the virginia side. but what fun is it moving back to a place you've already been. if i had a nursing degree i would spend a couple years in some random 3rd world country, but i'm all talk so that would never happen.

I'm in a similar train of thought too, as you know. I'm never living in Newfoundland again, Toronto is good but not comfortable, Kingston is lovely but small, New York is intimidating but alluring and Canada's west coast is somewhere I want to explore at some point. (I'm very curious about Vancouver, having lived on the east coast much of my life)

My suggestions:

-Visit Newfoundland
-Determine if TO/NY is best or even necessary for your career
-Determine whether you want to live in a city, the country, or in between
-Sleep on it

I know I won't be in Newfoundland. Somehow I doubt I'll remain in Kingston, but whether or not I make that huge leap to somewhere like New York remains to be seen. It depends on work, really. If some company offers me a job there--I'm gone. But to dive into a city that size and try freelancing? Well, I don't know. And the significant other, whomever she may be at whichever point or length of time, will obviously play some part.

Sleep on it.
