It's been a while since I last updated this. A lot has happened. I've been pretty busy with school and work, and on top of that the band has 6 shows in 5 weeks. Which means that when I'm not at school and work, I'm practicing. (which by the way is awesome) Spring officially came...winter felt threatened so it pounded us with 2 feet of snow for two straight days, just when we had our second show in Toronto. It made for a fun drive. Three days later came eye surgery. Yes, finally. I wasn't nervous until they put a ring around my eye that acts like a suction cup, causing me to lose all vision for 20 seconds. It's supposed to happen, but still scary. It definately was an interesting experience, being awake, staring at the lazer, watching the doctor pull the first layer of your eye off, hearing the sound of the lazer. Good times. As prescribed, I've been wearing really dark shades inside and have been putting in 3 kinds of eye drops. Being stuck inside isn't all that bad. The first day I was extremely light sensitive. I spent the whole day in the dark. After that day it has been alright, as long as I continue to sport those dark shades. I went back for an assessment yesterday, they said I have 20/20 vision and when my eyes completely heal in a week or two my vision will be even better. Watching the tv set and going on the computer isn't that bad as long as it's not prolonged. Oasis and Weezer both released new songs. The Oasis song is good, what really baffled me was the new Weezer song. I love Weezer, I've seen them live and I have their cd's, so I wouldn't jump at any chance of being critical of them if they ever released mediocre material. However this song just sucks. If their two previous releases were thought to be a minor step back from Pinkerton, this song makes one long for Maladroit. That's all. Check our site and maybe I'll see you at our shows.
