Obama's plan doesn't include universal healthcare. If I'm not mistaken, he wants to make sure that all children are insured. Universal Children's Healthcare? Hm. Personally, I would rather my paycheck be taxed to see that everyone is granted that right. Insurance companies have fucked people over for way too long.
The phrase "Keeping the black man down" is irrelevant now. I find that totally awesome.
I'm not saying that the economy doesn't have its natural ebb and flow, but there is no denying that Bush was spending money "like a Democrat." No hypocrites here.
I don't think that The Walrus and the Carpenter applies here...it applied in 2004...but that's just my humble opinion. =P
I don't know why I'm typing all this because you know how I feel about it. And I agree that we all need to come together. John McCain was reminiscent of the man that I respected so much years ago. His concession was noble and I have to admit, I was a little heartbroken for him. I know how bad he wanted it.
Plus, now you get something to bitch about for the next 4 years. *My smart-ass comment*
The right to healthcare is access to it, not provision of it. I do agree that it's sad that many kids don't have any insurance/healthcare providers, I don't agree with making it harder for me to insure my *own* child. Once again, government sponsored insurance/care costs too much and provides too little to be of any real benefit, beyond emergency care. It's still the responsibility of the parents to *bring* the child *to* the doctor, and I have seen firsthand those that would not do it.
Spending money like a democrat is one thing, but this "crisis" we're in is based only so slimly on his spending habits and moreso on the democrats plans of the past to make luxuries more available to those who hadn't earned it.
And, I know you do your homework more than the average libtard, but you can't deny those in your camp who were in it because it was fuckin' popular. Voting for him is, like, so progressive. I mean, COME ON! He's black! There were a great many oysters on this eve's beach, walking hand in hand unto a fate they did not understand.
And, unlike some people I know, I have better things to do than bitch for four years. Like, get working, because so many welfare recipients and illegal immigrants rely on my paycheck!
Ugh, whatever. It's over, we can all move along, grounds have been broken, traditions shattered, what have you. I still gotta get up at four AM.
We shall continue this when you get back to this Red State =-D
