Most of you already knew that tho, what with my commenting here and there in your various journals.
Monday is my last day with Sprint. Beginning Wednesday I will be working for Lifeguard Ambulance services. Hooray and all. I will be able to focus more squarely on my Paramedical-type things. Maybe I'll finally remember all my drug doses and routes without using my field guide.
2 things about that though...
1) It's M-W-F, Noon to Midnight. T-Th will be taken up by the (unpaid) Clinical rotations I need to do. 20 in total, 10 ER, 5 L&D, 3 ICU and 2 NICU. Plus an additional 30 (unpaid) ambulance shifts after those. I have until June to finish all those. That's a lot of time I cannot spend with my beloved(s). By that I mean the wife and the Muy Thai kickboxer in her belly.
2) that schedule limits me to 36 hours a week, at a SEVERELY reduced rate of pay. I think I figured it out to be about 600 dollars LESS a month.
So, I may be in bad sorts over the coming months. Please don't take it personally if I am unavailable or generally in a funky mood. This is all for a greater good, as (hopefully) in June I can complete my paramedic training and get to the good money. And a better schedule.
If anyone has about $4000 to spare to supplement my income over the coming months, reply here and I will give you my paypal.
God, I hope I make it through this alive.
