There has been this really interesting thing happening during my initial days at University that has rarely happened in my past. I talk to someone about a (film, artist, philosophy, political view, etc) and not only do they understand what I am talking about but they might also disagree. It's as though I am surrounded by intellectual equals. This rarely happened in High School. There may even be people who know more then me here. =p
My dorm design is really fucked up. Some hippy designed it so naturally it in no way follows the traditional structure of what you would expect for a dorm. Luckily I am on the top floor of my dorm so I have high ceilings which makes the room appear bigger then it actually is. Everyone on my floor keeps saying "It's good to be on top", this amuses me like only a twelve year old could be amused.
It has really been an interesting experience. I go up to random people and talk to them and they are just as equally interested in starting a friendship with a complete stranger as I am. I don't even think I have encountered a single asshole. Theres a block party occuring just out my window for the whole west quad of the school. I went to it but really wasn't enjoying the music(because it is shit) so I decided to head back to my dorm. But yeah, um, the DJ is directly below my window. But I am getting this really interesting reverb action occuring.
Pictures tomorrow, I promise.
