Silent Hill
Just got back from watching "Silent Hill". It was weird watching a movie and being only a couple hundred meters away from where it was filmed.

It had some really amazing scenes but at the same time it had some really crappy scenes that almost wrecked the film. They made it confusing, but in a bad way. They explaned so much but then left other things completely ambiguous. I think it would have been better if they hadn't explained anything at all and left it open-ended. I liked how there were three different copies of the little girl/demon. It was almost like a evil trinity.
There were some awesome scare scenes. The opening one with the child demons scared the shit out of me. I like how the world kinda dissolves, you can see what I mean by looking at this clip (http://maplepond.ca/sh.mov). The scene with Pyramid Head slicing through the steal door was very cool to watch, albeit freaky.
Overall it was a good movie that good have been a whole lot better. Too much useless talking.
