this post makes me feel self centered
yesterday i helped my coworker write a thing and he wrote an e-mail back that said "Thanks a billion!"
SO CUTE
(he also sent an e-mail out today to the whole office that began with the salutation "Hi Dears,").
had a mini meeting about xi'an today. apparently i am actually kind of in charge of doing some stuff. like, when we go to the restaurants, i have to order the food. when we go to the hotel, i have to check us all in. i have to take care of 16 helpless, vulnerable tourists (all of whom are older than me, except for a 7 year old baby). I HAVE ACTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES THAT MATTER. in a situation where i barely know what i'm doing at all.

(but at the same time, i'm really excited.)
also at work today i sat in on a chinese medicine class and the guy did an acupuncture demo. he put a needle into the lady's wrist and it moved back and forth with her pulse.
also today a request came in for a private tour from two american airlines air hostesses from chicago, and one of my dude coworkers was like "AIR HOSTESSES?? LET ME TAKE THEM!!!" it was cute. the girl coworker was like "well i think they're kind of old," and he was like "So?? They're so elegant!"
