84 degree weather....
.....means the dog beach is open. at our dog park we have three dog areas - big dog area, little dog area, and the dog beach area! they have probably about a 1/4 acre fenced in for the dog beach area that leads right down to the lake. even part of the water is fenced in with bouyes and a net fence under the water. well, i have two labs, well sorta - boomer sees the water and he just takes off for it! him and three other labs are running around in it, splashing in it, just having a big ole time in it. i look back at my other lab and his eyes are big and looking at me like WHERE IS THE NORMAL DOG PARK?????? so he stays close to the fence not really going near the water. but he is my fetching boy and soon he sees the other chocolate lab playing fetch....out in the water. there are no other balls so he has to make a decision....and fritz is always the first one to bring the ball back. so he goes and waits on the edge for the chocolate lab to bring her ball in to her owner and he goes to throw it again this time fritz dives in (head first) and hits the cold water and he gets about a foot in when he realizes the ball is not worth him getting wet and he is quickly out of the water letting the balls real owner go after it!
