Well ladies and gentlemen, another weekend has past and another week approches. I've been pretty lazy this weekend when i should have been productive. Friday and saturday night i was on duty, so nothing good came out of that besides laziness and watching basketball. I'm upset at myself for not doing anything but i needed to rest since i was sick last week. I got myself some antibiotics and now i'm feeling much better. Now it's time to buckle down and do work for the next few weeks to close out the semester on the right track. As the sports announcers say i'm going to leave it all out on the field.

Heres what i have to do this week:

Lots of stuff...

*- This book was amazing. I finished reading it today amazing. Lots of good stuff. Its basically a handbook on how to minister to Native Americans. How not to force your culture on them but show them the real gospel of Jesus. There were tons of great quotes from this book i'll share some that struck me.

"The White Man is not the author of Christianity. God is. The white man only happened to be the messanger to bring the gospel to this part of the world."

"God does not look at humanity through "glasses of classes," nor does He endorse, necessarily, the human standards that we evaluate other people by."

"True Reconciliation can only be found at the foot of the cross, and only through the atoning work of Christ."

"If we are to experience the hand of the Lord and his blessing on our ministry, we too must become cross-cultural!"

"What values we hold to in our life will dictate how we treat ourselves, and how we treat each other."

"We now live in a land where wrong has become right, right has become wrong, and every man does what seems to be right in his own eyes, based upon the situations he finds himself in."

"In a very real sense, Christianity is not a religion, it is a realationship. A relationship with our Creator that is based not on fear, but on peace, on righteousness, not on wickedness, on hope, and not on hopelessness."

"Repentance is getting to a point when you have been going in one direction for so long, and you finally reach a point of changeing your mind, changing your direction, and changing your life."

"In the Old Testament, the root word for repent was a Hebrew word that meant "to sigh or breath deeply."

"Christianity is not just an experience of accepting Christ, and that's it. Its an ongoing process of developing an intimate relationship with our Creator, and in being with Him, we desire nothing else on earth."

Psalms 73:21-26
"I am always with you; you hold me by your right hand. You guide me with your counsel and afterwards you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart fail, but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever."

I recommend the Book: White Man's Gospel by Craig Stephen Smith go get it and read it now!

Still in the Grip of Grace,
BAMA
