Where I review my To Do list and realize I'm not a total failure at this Adult Thing.

Remember that To Do List I made yesterday?

Let's review that, shall we?

I should start this off by telling you all that I'm overweight. Ever since I had the youngling I went from a reasonable 10/12 to like a 16/18. No, I'm not happy about it but I'm doing my best to deal with it.

So, needless to say, the idea of squishing myself into something made of spandex to wear in public is not my idea of a good time. In fact, I'd wear a MOPP suite in the swamp during August while being forced to socialize with my ex and his new wife and baby. But youngling LOVES the pool and it's unfair to ask my dad to continue to take him on his own so I maned up and took myself to Kohl's. (We have a Kohl's charge card. It's the only way I could afford a swim suite.)

I got to the store and headed straight for the swim suites and found the selction in my size. I nearly turned around and left again. I realize that I'm big. But just because I'm fat does not mean I want to look like I crawled out of a trailer park across the street from my local Wal-Mart. (This is actually a very common problem with plus size clothing, but that's a rant for another day) And on top of the wall of ugly spandex, I saw that the plus size suites were twice the price of the 'standard' swimwear. They ranged about $70 to $80+ for a one piece.

At this point I was ready to call shenanigans on the whole situation.

But instead I found the least offensive suites in my size and headed for the dressing room. 20 minutes and 4 changes later I had a relatively decent swim suite in black and white that kinda looks like a sundress. I won't be wearing it unless I have to, but I now have something to wear to take youngling to the pool.

This was actually easy. Put books in slot at the check out desk. Where this turns into an ordeal is the fact that despite numerous educational films, I still don't get the Dewey decimal system. Why can't the library be organized like Borders? This would be so much simpler in my mind instead of me having to use the computer system (which is almost as bad as the dreaded DDS in my mind) every time I try to find a book I want. Also, PWC library system, would it kill you to have a few of the books I want? I mean really, I go to you to save money.

Put away laundry Done, only issue is giant, ugly bugs that live in basement. Always wear shoes in basement.

Dust room Done.

Organize Youngling's art supplies Done. Good lord, this took way to long. Mainly because I had to crawl around on the ground to find all the missing crayons. This kid has far to many art supplies. I'm single handedly keeping Crayola in business.

PAPERWORK! - Uh, I'll get back to you on that....

Write or Die! - This is a fabulous site. I love it. But even it is not match for youngling crawling into my lap going "Mommy!Mommy! I need you!" Will try again tonight.

Make and actual dinner Done! Well, somewhat, dinner got made. But dad traded me chores, so he made dinner and I ran a bunch of errands for him. So I'm still calling it a win in my book.

So, I didn't totally fail at my list. This is good enough for me :)

everyday, busy
