(no subject)
I've been reading Naruto, as it's Adi's fandom of choice and she's my bff. It's easier to read it than watch it (for some bizarre reason, I see Zabuza's sword in the anime and I'm like, "That's physically impossible! No one can wave around a sword as big as them with one arm! What the hell!" but when I read the manga it's just like, "oh, he has a gigantic sword. I guess that's how they do things here") so I've been reading it via the internets. So far:
-Skim the battle scenes, but that's just a me thing. I do the same thing when reading military scifi or the random battles in fantasy.
-Kabuto is my homeslice! Alas, I have just uttered those words. Adi said he's still alive as of now (she's caught up) but I accidentally said those words. So I'm sorry to anyone who's a Kabuto fan, I've just significantly shortened his lifespan.
-Orochimaru is such a creeper. And a pedo. But really, what a great bad guy.
-I want to read fic of Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade when they were a team. Adi said there wasn't that much. this makes me le sigh. I don't know if I know enough about the culture to actually write any of it. I don't want to write anything until I'm caught up because I'm a canon whore in any fandom. Either way, Orochimaru and Kabuto are my homies.
-Man why do snakes always indicate bad guys? I look at my own snake and Khan is just so...not scary. unimpressive. Not all snakes are scary and evil! Most don't give a shit unless you mess with them. But really. People see lions and think, "oh lions are good." but snakes are bad? they're evil? and everyone associates snakes with evil or uses them for bad guys. But snakes don't have a concept of good or evil! they have teeny tiny brains. when did this "snakes are evil" thing start? argh. /rant
-I look forward to when Sakura stops being useless. I've been told it happens.
-I'm not a fan of Gaara even though everyone seems to like him. Do I just have to wait and see what happens with him?
-Heh. I love how everyone and their mother has backstory.
