I know, it's been a long time. I've been working a shitty job for the past few months serving, but that's not why I'm posting.
Ladies and gentlemen, you are reading a post written by the new manager of Java Werks Hattiesburg. Now I can finally start using my management degree (huzzah!).
After working in a big restaurant for about two months, I've decided I don't want to work in an environment like that. Sure, it may be more money and more stable, but I think I'll be at home in a smaller local type of place rather than a chain. It's always been my goal to own my own place, and I think Java Werks will give me just the experience I need.
Now I've got to go in tomorrow and put in my two weeks notice. This should be sufficiently awkward since they told me a few days ago that I was one of their more reliable servers and that they were going to start training me as a bartender. Oh well...
I'm so excited!
