(part 2)

The road to becoming an idol, wasn't a turn he expected to take. Yongguk was no longer a teenager, rapping of women and alcohol no longer fulfilled his ambitions. He became aware of the world around him, of the rottenness and the corruption of the system, surrounding him and his generation. He had a message to give, and needed a bigger crowd to receive it. He thought, if he found a company who allowed do his own music without too many idol constrictions, he could follow his own motto, the words he had imprinted in his skin: do what u like and luv what u do. TS Entertainment seemed to offer him the chance to live his dream.

It wasn't easy. It took the proverbial sweat, tears and blood, and a level of commitment Yongguk didn't expect. He had to face his own doubts (he wanted to write and produce music, he didn't want to dance, he didn't know how to dance. He didn't understand why he had to learn such things aegyo and fanservice), yet the hardest part was the loneliness. He did make friends with other trainees, but he was aware that this training would require him to be completely focused on the goal. He knew the people he practiced with for months could be gone after the next survival stage. He learned not to get attached, not until he was one-hundred-percent sure he was going to make it to the end with his group.

But now, looking back on it, it was all worth it. Despite the tiredness slacking his bones, evident in his face and body, he could still feel the never ending satisfaction of standing on stage, now with five other people who had dreamed of it just as much. He didn't only lead a group. He found a family.

When his grandfather died, too short after debut, he remembered 6-year-old Bang Yongguk, sitting in class as his teacher spoke of home. He saw that home being demolished right in front of his eyes. But there was one person, out of everyone, who was willing to become his new place to stay. A person who was willing to pick up the pieces, pieces of Yongguk, pieces of his grandfather, and become his new home. A person who had made its way into Yongguk's life three years ago, offering a handshake and a proud smile with the words "Kim Himchan, I'm in your team. Please take care of me."

Home is where your heart is.

It took a while for Yongguk to notice, but now, eating dinner with the members after the last Encore concert, in a blur of excited chatter and wide smiles, as he reached under the table to hold Himchan's hand, and saw the fond smile that learned to take his breath away, he realized.

B.A.P was home.

But most of all, Himchan was home.

Thank you omg~ I didn't think I'd end up being so focused on Yongguk, but in the end I did! I even put research in this fic because I wanted his past to be as accurate as possible kkkk ♥♥

I'm actually thinking about making it into a longer fic, with more descriptions of Himchan and Yongguk's relationship, I really liked writing this

ARGH I love how even from young he discerns the difference in meanings and then later he outgrows the underground scene and then nooo~ his grandfather ;A; that whole era was heartbreak in retrospect. BUT THEN HIMCHAN. ♥__♥ this was super sweet~

[light + reaction, banghim, pg] (part 1) i really really couldn't keep this under 1k but i really really wanted to post it so i'm sorry, may the tbb gods strike me with lightning

Himchan knew it was a daring decision, but he refused to let himself be stopped. Yongguk sounded ecstatic when Himchan proposed the idea, so when he kissed him goodbye a little harder than necessary, he knew he wasn't going to regret it.

Driving to the place, Himchan weighted the pros (sex. Wild adventurous sex, more sex than they had in the last, say, 4 years) and the cons (he was too old to pull these stunts). Himchan scratched that. He wasn't old. Not a single wrinkle on his priced face. He was going to do it.

The color was... light, in lack of better words. Looking at himself in the mirror, he couldn't stop picking at his locks, smoothing his long bangs, touching the shorter hair at his nape, the buzz feeling funny on his fingertips. He turned his head, tilted it up and down, changed angle like he was in a photoshoot. Sunwha, his hairdresser, was looking at him amused.

"You asked for a strawberry blond, but I thought ash blond would look better with your complexion," she said, applying another layer of hair-wax to Himchan's bangs to curl them up at their ends. Himchan wasn't listening, he was transfixed on his reflection.

"So, do you like it?" She asked, smiling widely. Himchan gaped, and Sunwha's smile faltered. Maybe the bleach damaged his brain. But soon enough Himchan burst into a short, embarrassed laugh, smiling with his whole face.

"I love it."

As soon as he turned the key into the lock, he heard shuffling of feet from the inside. Sure enough, when he pushed the door open, Yongguk was already on the other side.

"Oh my god..."

When Himchan saw the look on Yongguk's face, he smirked. Eyes wide and his mouth resembling an 'o', struggling to find words. Himchan dropped his keys on the table and walked to him. "So?", he asked. He couldn't help but feel his cheeks warm.

"You look so..." Yongguk started, touching Himchan's hair, feeling the softness of the blond locks, his eyes scanning Himchan's face. He looked so different, he looked more delicate. More beautiful, if possible. Yongguk swallowed the cotton in his mouth and exhaled, a gummy smile spreading on his face. "Channie, you look so hot."

Himchan yelped as he was pushed on Yongguk's body. Yongguk kissed him hard and Himchan reciprocated, moaning into the kiss. He relaxed into Yongguk's arms, his shoulders slumping and his hands resting on Yongguk's chest. He let Yongguk coax his lips open and kiss him deeper, their tongues dancing in an old, familiar way, but one that never ceased to make Himchan feel electric. Yongguk's hands moved from Himchan's hips to his hair, cupping the sides of his face and twisting the curly ends between his fingertips.

"You're beautiful," Yongguk whispered on Himchan's lips, their noses brushing. Himchan smiled and pulled away, linking his arms around Yongguk's neck.

"You're not pretty bad yourself," he said, teasingly. Looking down at Yongguk's lips he felt a blush creep on his cheeks, and kissed them. "I feel like the prettiest 30-something year old in Seoul."

"Thirty-two," Yongguk clarified, completely unnecessarily in Himchan's opinion. "And you are the prettiest, hottest blond in damned South Korea." Yongguk kissed him once again, hands under Himchan's sweater.

(part 2)

"Bang Yongguk, you have a thing for blondes?" Himchan asked, detaching himself from Yongguk's hungry lips. He was impressed by Yongguk's eagerness. He wished he had the time to lay Yongguk on the couch and let him mess up his hair. The good way. But he didn't. "Where's Daehyun?"

"Maybe I do," Yongguk shrugged, grinning. He took Himchan's hand and walked down the hallway. "Daehyun is out with Youngjae, by the way." They stopped at the second door on the right, and Yongguk leaned against the wall, smirking at Himchan. "You know you have to face the real judges now, don't you?"

Himchan sighed. This was what refrained him for so long. He was scared. But now that the deed was done, he had to face it, eventually, and cross his fingers for the best. Yongguk smiled and squeezed Himchan's hand. He raised a brow, "You're ready?", and Himchan nodded. Yongguk turned the knob.

"Daddy!" two resonant screams shouted, and soon enough Yongguk found himself with an armful of Jongup and Junhong. Himchan peeked through the door and smiled at the sight, Yongguk standing in the middle of the room with one twin in his arm and one twin in the other, making surprised, happy faces at whatever the two four-years-old were excitedly rambling about. Junhong was gesturing wildly with his hands, shouting about him and Jonguppie building "the tallest toy brick tower ever! Taller than Daehyun-hyung!", Jongup bouncing on Yongguk's side. Yongguk laughed and put the twins back on the floor.

He leaned forward, resting his palms on his knees. "Okay, kids. Himchannie-appa has a surprise for you." Jongup's head perked up at the mention of Himchan. It was no mystery who Jongup's favorite dad was. "Promise me you will react well," he said. Himchan took a deep breath and poked his head inside.

"Hey," Himchan said, and the twins lifted their eyes to him. As soon as Junhong saw him he gasped, his eyes going huge and round. He yelled then, running to Himchan with a big smile on his face. Himchan grinned and picked up Junhong, who immediately started toying with his hair, touching and pulling and ruffling the top of Himchan's head. "Do you like it, Junhongie?"

Junhong nodded excitedly, "Daddy, you look so pretty. Like a princess!" Himchan kissed Junhong's cheek, avoiding Yongguk's eyes at all costs (Junhong might have not been the first one to call him princess). He passed Junhong to Yongguk, ignoring the knowing smirk on his husband's face and walked to Jongup.

"Jonguppie," he cooed, kneeling down in front of the boy. "It's Himchan-appa. My hair has changed color, do you like it?" Jongup kept silent, staring at Himchan and his hair, back to Himchan, back to his hair.

His lip started quivering. Oh no.

Jongup started crying, sobbing, wailing. He ran to hide behind Yongguk's legs, Yongguk shocked just as much as Himchan was. "Jongup?" Himchan panicked, scrambling on his feet, but as soon as he moved Jongup simply cried more, bawled more, hiding behind a helpless Yongguk. "Jongup it's me! It's daddy!"

"Y-you're not my," Jongup hiccuped, breathing quickly, "you're not my appa!" Himchan felt his heart break, and he stared at Jongup dumbfounded, at the tears and snot wetting his face. Because of him.

If things couldn't get worse, Junhong had an habit to cry whenever he saw Jongup cry, and viceversa. Yongguk heard a whimper and in a second Junhong was crying in his shoulder, both twins wailing in unison. Himchan and Yongguk shared a horrified look, Yongguk trying to soothe Junhong in his arm.

"Jonguppie, it's me."

"No," Jongup shook his head, shutting his eyes. At least he had stopped crying. "A-appa has black hair."

Himchan sighed. That was definitely not the reaction he had hoped for. "If daddy comes back later with black hair again, will you believe it's me?" he asked, hopeful. Jongup seemed to consider the idea, furrowing his brows. Himchan would have thought he looked adorable, if it wasn't for the fact that his own son didn't recognize him anymore. "I'll bring you pancakes?"

Jongup pouted, but nodded. Himchan smiled, relieved and stood up. He reached in his pocket for his phone and dialed quickly.

"Sunwha? Yes it's Himchan. Get the black dye."

He swore Yongguk was pouting more than his traumatized four-year-old.
