Well it's almost the end of the school year. Stuffs starting to get hectic again, what with finals, preparations for the apartment, projects, etc. I'm doing alright so far, though. I went out yesterday with my mom and bought some stuff for the apt, some cups, a laundry basket, towels, a shower curtain, etc. etc. I need to get some bedsheets but I can't find any that aren't all foo-fooey and prissy looking. Still waiting for approval on the apartment, they haven't called yet but I'm pretty sure we won't have any problems. UCF app seems to be going alright too. Can't wait to move out and get settled in, since I'll have a couple weeks to relax from everything before I have to get a job. Also, Mike and I will probably be going to Sarasota tomorrow to visit Layton and jam, so that'll be pretty cool.
(geek stuff follows)
New season of anime started at the beginning of the month. Alot of the new shows I've started watching seem to be pretty decent:
-Midori No Hibi is a cute little comedy about this guy who's really tough and gets into fights (but has trouble finding a girlfriend) who wakes up one day to find he has a girl for a right hand. Turns out this girl has a had a huge crush on him for a long time. Weird? Yes, but it's still a pretty good show.
-Kono Minikuku Mo Utsukushii Sekai (aka Konomini aka This Ugly and Beautiful World) is a new series from the makers of Mahoromatic (woo!). The whole beginning is kinda weird so its hard to explain, it's sort of like this guy discovers a girl who came from space in the woods and all his friends find out so she has to adjust to living with him. It's way more complicated than that though, underneath. It's a little strange as it's got almost all the same voice actors that were in Mahoromatic (which isn't bad cause they were great), and the animation is very simliar. But I liked Mahoromatic alot and while I don't think Konomini will be quite as good, it's still worth watching to me. It's a Gainax production though so I'm afraid for how the ending will turn out :(
-Bakurestu Tenshi (Exploding Angel, or something like that) is about a team of girls with guns and a big robot. Stuff blows up, it's pretty fun. Not sure of the plot yet cause it's only 1 episode in.
- Sensei no Ojikan (aka Doki Doki School Hours). School anime. Reminds me ALOT of Azumanga Daioh, though I think the manga came out before Azumanga. 1st episode is pretty much introductions to the characters so I'm not sure if theres gonna be a plot, very silly stuff but absolutely hilarious. Characters include a teacher that's like 4'9" so she looks like a little girl, a dumb jock, a gay guy, the class president who is secretly obsessed with boy bands, a guy who looks and acts like an old man, an otaku obsessed with drawing anime girls, and more. Great fun.
- Ragnarok the Animation. Yep, an anime based on Ragnarok Online. It's not all that spectacular, but its rather cute in how it incorporates alot of the game elements. I'll probably keep watching just for the amusement factor.
Also, AnimeHaven has stated that they WILL finish Galaxy Angel season 3 fansubs. That makes me very happy :)
Time to go do some math now, yay.
