well, schools over, break has started. i'm so damn glad to finally not have homework and tests to do and shit. course i gotta go back in 3 weeks but oh well, a vacation is nice. scored a B in writing, probably got an A in photography seeing as she really liked my final. it turned out really well. only thing i'm a bit concerned about is History because that was a hardass class, but we'll see.
in other news, anyone ever heard of The Polyphonic Spree? They've had a few ads and a video on MTV and shit. It's not normally the stuff I listen to but I gotta say, I'm really impressed with what this band is doing. They're fucking huge, they have like 12 singers, a string section, guitars, bass, drums, percussion, etc. etc. etc. It's just a bunch of different musicians that the ex-lead singer for Tripping Daisy got together. They all wear white robes on stage, it almost looks like a cult, it's funny. Their goal is to create positive and uplifiting music that's different from alot of what is being played today, and they do a pretty damn good job. Kinda reminds me of 70's hippy music. anyway, check them out if you haven't, they are a pretty different band but the music is really uplifiting as strange as it may be at times. i'm really glad to see people doing something fresh and different like this as opposed to all this tired old rock/metal shit that's been popping up for years.
