1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
Got paid for taking pictures, changed my major. Worked as a waitress. Had my own dog.
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
My new year's resolution is to start using the word "cross" more often. As in, "Please don't do that, you're making me cross." It was my first resolution in years.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but I found out that Tim and Summer are having a baby, which makes me feel both excited and older than I thought I was.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
The producer of the movie I worked on in Tennessee this summer passed away.
5. What countries did you visit?
I didn't go out of the country this year at all.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A clear ( or even partial) plan for the future.
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Oh goodness, the day after Christmas when Luther ate my sister's chocolate and got sick. Very, very scary.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I think that pushing myself to just try things that I was afraid of.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not too many failures this year.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major, no trips to the E.R. for me this year.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I had a fantastic time buying everyone their Christmas presents this year.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Kat for applying to a new school even though its scary, Claire for taking a semester off even though it was scary, Jewelia for coming home for a while even though it was scary.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I guess a few of the people I encountered while waiting tables, but even that wasn't too bad.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Books, food, presents.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My trip to San Francisco, New York and getting my new dog!
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
Amy Winehouse, Regina Spektor.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
happier or sadder? Happier, I think.
thinner or fatter? Thinner!
richer or poorer? About the same, although I was pretty rich while I was waiting tables.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of? I wish I had spent more time outside.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of? Sleeping.
20. How will you be spending Christmas? Spent it in Reno, Nevada.
21. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Stayed that way.
22. How many one-night stands?
Not a one.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Pushing Daisies, Firefly, Scrubs, Girls Next Door. X-files.
24. Do you dislike anyone now that you didn’t dislike this time last year?
Not that I can think of.
25. What was the best book you read?
"Devil in the White City" was amazing. So was "Pleasure of my Company."
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I guess Amy Winehouse, although it wasn't really my discovery.
27. What did you want and get?
To travel, to be happy. To be better at photography. A dog!
28. What did you want and not get?
For everyone I love to be in one place that is close to me! But I wasn't really expecting it, so no dissapointment.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Waitress. I can't really remember any of the movies that came out this year.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I had my first birthday party in years. I invited all my friends out to the Casbah and all the boys learned how to belly dance and I took pictures. Then, we went back to my house and Ryan bought me a cake. I turned 20.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Seeing more of my friends from St.Louis who I miss.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
I spent more time this year in real clothes. No more pajama's and t-shirts.
33. What kept you sane?
Night's out at Jen's and Friends.
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
David Duchovny, still. Again.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election.
36. Who did you miss?
Jewelia, Caroline. My friends in St.Louis. It was a pretty good year for seeing friends who had moved away.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
Oh goodness. I met a few people but I also became much closer to people I sort of knew. Kat, Matt Timme, Chris Heady, Pat.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007?
Take risks! Even if you're scared!
