[Recs] Four from different fandoms

Posts containing recs will probably be more frequent from now on, with the opening of ficonfession. :)

The Past Is a Well Closed Book by pinkpuruu (Goong, Shin/Chae Gyeong) I love the way Puruu writes my favorite pairing from the series. She captures their characters in small bits of dialogue and action, and the way she manages to put these two together in a situation blows me away. I can picture this in the original storyline just as well. The scene takes place in daily life, with Chae Gyeong speaking of their past.

There is blood in fairy tales by ashirabe (Fruits Basket, Hatsuharu/Rin) I have read a few other Fruits Basket fics by this author in the past and have enjoyed, in particular, her Haru/Rin pieces. This fic has a particular 'forbidden' sense of the relationship, which I have always found to be mysterious about the pairing. Rated PG-13 due to implications; worth the time.

There is a palace by team7 @ fic journal, obakesan (One Piece, Straw Hat Pirates) This is like a side story that was never featured in the actual manga, in more of a 'filler' moment, as Tin puts it. The fic is a story within a story--the tale of a widow who encounters the Going Merry crew during their journey on the sea. Makes a wonderful traveling document.

Via rec_a_day: Divergence by Narilsa (Bleach, Byakuya/Yoruichi) One of the rarest occasions in which I read a fic outside of my OTP regions--the fond pairings being Urahara/Yoruichi and Byakuya/Hisana--and I like it enough to rec it. Quite PG-13 again in its content, the fic dives into the possibility of a relationship between Byakuya and Yoruichi prior to his becoming Kuchiki household's master and her escape. Both are well in-character. What fascinates me the most is that the author took the concept of being heirs and separated it between the two characters' interpretations.
