I feel better!

Man, what a GREAT weekend! I really, really needed this. I feel extremely refreshed (even though I didn't get much sleep) and in a much lighter mood overall. What an awesome vacation!

Let me explain what happened. Keep in mind, I'll probably be mentioning where a bunch of stuff went wrong... but honestly, even when something screwed up or plans got changed, I still had a great time!

So anyway, I slept in WAY too late on Friday. I wasn't feeling great, either, so that didn't help any. Since most everyone didn't plan on getting to the Con on Friday, I decided to wait until the evening to leave for Atlanta. I got to the Atlanta area around 10:30/11:00ish, got a little lost in Downtown due to a mix up in addresses (but hey, how can you not have fun being lost in Atlanta, right?), and got to the hotel just before midnight. Hung out with reverseblade, bishiekeith and 9mm until about 2 (I think...). Went over to the room I was staying in with... Andy and Zach, I believe (I'm so horrible with names), got a shower, ironed my clothes and slept on the floor until about 8:30. Got up, got ready, drove to Rome, GA, and grabbed Miranda, went to Anime Weekend Atlanta (Yay A W A~!), and had a GREAT time! Lack of glomping this year for me (probably cuz my costume was CRAPPY!), but I can't say I was terribly upset. --Note: Goths over 18 are -usually- cool. Goths under 18 are FRIGGIN' CREEPY. Goths at 18 are in transition.-- Anyway, after a few hours of random fun, I got Mokona and a new Anime. We hung out at reverseblade and bishiekeith hotel room for a while, got food, then Miranda and I headed back to her place for some sleep time. Crashed on couch right after she mentioned going to help her with a fund raiser on Sunday, seeing how she said I'd have to be awake by 6:30. Ugh. In bed--er, in couch by 12:30.

Sunday I decide it'd be better to just hang out w/ Miranda since the group was talking about not going that day anyway. So I get up at the ass-crack of dawn and ride, at first cramped and then with a slightly crazy woman, up into mountains of Alabama. Dude, if all of Alabama is that @%#$ backwards, then Alabama is one messed up state... but very affordable! Anyway, so I find out what Miranda has really roped me into: working a desk at a biker Poker Ride. So I get to sit at this table, in the middle of a parking lot in the middle of nowheresville, baking in the sun (although I didn't realize that part until much later in the day), talking to crazy ladies #1 and #3 (#2 was at a different station, and the other lady wasn't that psycho, just an artiste. ^_^). #1 (Suzy) was pretty cool, just a little off the rocker, but at least she was fun... But #3 (Faye)... dude, there's something wrong there. A screw loose or something. She drove me back to Knoxville. Her car smelled like death. Not like something decaying, not like something rotting. Just... I dunno, like someone was trying to hold back dying or something. I joked with Miranda that I thought she was practicing Necromancy or something, and she said "I wouldn't doubt it." THAT frightened me. Anyway, the day was fun (Bikers are cool!), and if it wasn't for this strange mix of windburn/sunburn that I have right now, and that my allergies have flaired up enough to completely drain all fluids out of my body and pour them through my nose, it was fun. Really attractive girl there. Went to Lee University. Big no-no for me.

Finally got back to Rome, GA afterwards. Went to eat, tried to get others to go, noone wanted to. They all suck. Miranda and I go to this little hole-in-the-wall italian pizza/sandwich/pasta place. Pretty dang good. Finally get back to her place, all tired and stuff because it's 9:30 now, I've been up for 15 hrs, and I have to make a 3 hr drive home. But I head back anyway, get home, somehow get all my stuff in the house and collapse on the bed... to notice that the electricity had gone out around noonish and my clock was flashing. Get my clock set, fall on bed again, and proceed to sleep. Until my ceiling in the bathroom started to leak again (stupid air thingie!), but that didn't bother me too bad. Not nearly as bad as it has been other times.

So now, here I am, sunburnt and with a stuffy nose, at work. Fun stuff, eh? I'm still in a good mood, though. I think I really needed the sun, no matter how burnt I might be. ^_^
