They drive me nuts, and yet I miss them already...

I have survived the family reunion! Barely, but I've made it. There was family bonding and cuddling of weetiny kittens (marmalade kitten IN MY HAIR!) and watching the Olympics and lots of food.

Somewhere in all that I had a brain, but I'm pretty sure it's gone now. This feeling of being disconnected from reality isn't helped by how it's currently cool enough outside for me to have the AC off and the windows open. This is obviously some kind of a trap.

Anyway, to get back into the swing of things

You too can have anime eyes. Or you could stare at the picture until your eyes dry out and you find it impossible to blink ever again.

An Etsy article points out how to dress like someone who was involved with multiple murders. Others wonder if Etsy has heard of history books, let alone read them.

Whole Foods tries to show off its affordable side. While I find it cute that they're trying to come off as no different than your local Key Food, what really gets me about the article is reports that the chain is having some trouble. Look people, I just found the one that's not far from where I work. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE THAT FROM ME.

A 93 year old author uses the royalties from her first book to help friends stay out of nursing homes. Don't mind me, something in my eye....

You know when traffic forces you to merge lanes? And some folks (aka "the good") start merging right away and others (aka "the assholes") zoom ahead and make things go even slower as they try to cram themselves in at the last possible spot? Well the Freakanomics blog has some comments on that.
