We giggle, because we love

So I was talking about how The Gift has some of the worst continuity that BtVS has possibly ever seen and it got me and others talking about moments in Buffy and Angel that are so bad or dumb that at this point you can't help but look back on them with an indulgent smile ( Read more... )

Along with non-smoking sun-strolling Spike in "Spiral" (alliteration is fun!), the Riley/Sam timeline is just absurdedly amusing when you take into account Sam's comments about how long they've been together, how long it took Riley to get over Buffy, etc.

I know they wanted to keep the chip a surprise until later in the episode, but boy, Spike sure was shoving those Initiative boys around an awful lot on his way out of the base.

BIGGEST DORM ROOM EVER.

Hee! Yes! Hell, didn't the Riley/Sam timeline actually work out that Riley was still in mourning over breaking up with Buffy for a few months after he married Sam?

The man really was quite a catch.

In my comment directly below this one: it should be scalps. Not scalp. Even though the image of a joined-at-the-head conjoined twin pairing of Joyce and Spike is amusing.

Oh! Oh! The fact that Sunnydale's brain surgeons are by far the most skilled in the world, given that they were able to perform surgery on Joyce and Spike without needing to shave even one square inch of their scalp before the procedures.

Hee! Yes! And let's not forget the amazing quarter-sized band-aid that helped Joyce recover from said surgery. Which does yet again raise the question of why slapping a few of those bad boys on Dawn never came up as a way of closing the portal...

I keep thinking of more!

The fact that a major software concern sent out representatives to meet with someone in the middle of her junior year of high school based on the results of a standard high school career aptitude test.

Buffy has the exact same SAT score as me. This bothers me DEEPLY.

that really was the biggest dorm room ever. Much bigger than any in, say, real life.

I actually had one that big in my freshman year, but it was zoned for 6 students to live in it.

Who wouldn't want to live in a dorm if we all got rooms that big? I am wildly envious.
