shows-may27th-29th will be three outstanding shows. the weekend starts with a trip out to westland for the forever the way tour kickoff. on friday we go down to 8 and mound for a crazy spectacle. it is the return of my favorite band, based on a true story, along with the michigan cd release of the audition, the return of boys in suits, the sweet sounds of the weakend, and the first visit of adara. make sure you get there early to check out gone by midnight and leaving neverland. the whole night is good band after good band. the third and final day marks the graduation of my son danny and his buddy cameron. wear ties cause i hear graduation parties are formal.
philly-so i get this call from brian ball asking why i signed up for his competition to play in philly. i told him that fhoo is already playing in detroit and toronto and we have a good response in philly. he said he had reservations because they haven’t put a local band on their local heroes stage that far away from home before. he said we got a very high amount of votes from ernie ball, mesa, and warped tour reps so he was going to put us on anyway. he loved the music and congratulated me on earning a spot on phillys warped tour.
carson-saturday marks the day we have been waiting for for a while. immediately following carson daily's show our girl krystal will be sitting down with him and playing our cd. she works for his new label, 456 entertainment, and they are looking for new bands to support. lets all hope something happens in that meeting.
summer-the atkin/pendergrass duo is in full effect. we have been hanging out every night with different groups and having a blast. the basketball is plenty, the hair is chopped off (sorry girls), the arms are burnt, the seats at dave and busters have welcomed me back, the wait at bw3s is 1.5 hours but well worth the company and beautiful weather. high fives to meg, casey, matt kangas, maj, jon lamb, megs mom, the makers of white men cant jump, my favorite samurai tom cruise, paolo, rob, chris, jim walm, and connely for filling my days. if anyone else wants to get togetehr call the cell or e-mail me. we can hit up the mall, the courts, or bw3s.
school-8million thanks to ndumi for calling me twice yesterday and making me feel better about my situation. a lot of changes are in the air. i might be home all next year.
