Yes! YES! PACZKIS! You are from MICHIGAN and you UNDERSTAND THESE THINGS. The East Coast lacks paczkis and all knowledge of them and, okay, so I didn't know what they were until I moved to the UP, but then PACZKIS. It's just not a Fat Tuesday without Polish doughnuts!

WHEN/WHY DID YOU LIVE IN THE UP?! Too bloody cold up there. I'm a Detroiter, myself. Five minute drive over to Hamtramck this morning for DELICIOUS DELICIOUS PACZKIS. IF I KNEW I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT SOME TO MAIL YOU. No seriously, my mom mails my sister some since she moved to Kentucky.

They don't have Paczkis in TC, but they do near NMU? Weird.

Oh, I'm positive they have them. I was just never confronted with one until the UP. *shrug*

Btw, the yooper accent + "paczki" = priceless.

omg, I'm sure that's priceless.

My Polish roommate was impressed because I know what Paczkis are about/the very general history. What's the point in engaging in a tradition you don't know anything about? And for something as delicious/unhealthy as Paczkis, 10 minutes of internet research is so worth it.
