Long time no post, flist. Sorry about that.
These past few days at work have been super busy. It's the kind of stuff that earns your paychecks. This year, it's our turn to host the Lead On! conference for our region. (The conference is a by-for-and-about the students of the National Intramural Sports Recreation Association -- more info
here if you're interested.)
We've had many shenanigans, including racing food back to the fitness center before catering could toss it, sliding around on the high ropes course, etc. At one point, myself and two of my awesome coworkers/friends were working and one of them broke into the "we're the three best friends that anyone ever had" song from the Hangover. It was a great 14 hours.
Today, I played some Fable and went to a meeting. I may be the musical director for a local youth theatre's production of Seussical: The Musical. Not only would it be challenging and fun, but I need 40 hours of volunteer work with kids before applying to the college of ed anyway. Win-win all around!
