Under my umbrella
So close to the finish line! :D I was hoping that I could finish all my commissions by con, and it actually looks like I might be able to manage it. (At least, all the ones from FA. I still have 5 from independent sources to do.)
Right now I'm working on Jacolf's badges:
This is just the first sketch, so it's horribly messy... But you can see why I lightbox my artwork. For one, my hand is very heavy when it comes to pencils, for another, I absolutely HATE getting pencil dents on paper.
Ever try to color something in with colored pencils and you have all these little white lines showing where a sketch line once was? Yeah, I can never get them filled in right so I invested in a lightbox years ago. (Best $80 I spent in my life, man.) Saves me all the hassle, and brings me the results I want with none of the stress.
These should be finished tonight, with any luck. :) Leaving me wide open for those last three commissions. Then? Then I shall bask in glorious relaxation at con, a fruity drink topped off with a little umbrella required.
But now, it's break time, and I'm gonna go grab some dinner.
