Luna and I have been having a great time. The scavenger hunt was a sucess, as we found what we were looking for and she enjoyed the gift. It was about time someone had it that would put it to use. Afterall a mirror's job is to reflect. I would say it is rather depressing not doing your duty so it's fitting we pull it out of the dusty box and turn it slightly so that Luna might look in. The mirror should be happy, as her image is a fine one to reflect, perhaps even more so than it's previous owner.

Our Diagon Alley trip was likewise fun. I have all my things for Hogwarts bought, packed, and ready to go. I have enjoyed the summer, though I admit I have missed the city. I believe Luna loved visiting the Quidditch shop most of all. I had to nudge her away several times so that we might get the rest of our school things before it became too late in the evening. We had to floo as neither of us can apparate yet. I really wish I would have gone to get my license, now more than ever. For you see, I had the most entertaining thought the other day. You can apparate to a place you've never been before if you know what it looks like. As long as you have a clear mental image you can go wherever you so choose. I must confess, my mind wanders a lot and I have compiled a rather extensive list of places I have never pysically visited but I should like to. The problem is, these places do not exist. Not as we know them. What if, just maybe, apparation can take you to a place you dream? It could work in theory. Many believe that "imaginary" places are simply projections of places we visit in our sleep. So who is to say these places do not exist in the material world at all? Perhaps they only allow entrance to those who are in a state of R.E.M. but what if they simply do not have a proper doorway? Could one apparate there? I would like to try.
