I'm almost done with mono!!!! The trainer had me use the bike for 20 minutes today, and afterward I was nice and sweaty. 'Twas FANTASTIC. And I've been feeling much more energetic over the past few days. Wednesday I see the doctor in SportMed; hopefully she'll clear me for regular practice, and then I shall be MonoGirl no longer!!! humanities professor talking about "titrating" their coffee: Eee!

someone dressing up as the internet for halloween. ("It's a network of tubes!"): Oh, the nerdiness!

your music theory professor giving you credit for doing the assignment OR for writing a computer algorithm to do the assignment for you: *shakes head slowly and remembers the debate we had about the digitization of Music*

my personal fav is the to the max one.

honestly, with the rules of 18th century music as strict as they are, it really wouldn't be that hard to program a computer to know all those rules and thus harmonize a given melody/figured bass accordingly, which is what my music theory assignments typically consist of.

I know, I know. I'm familiar with the old part-writing rules. I even joined the facebook group called Every Time You Write Parallel Fifths, Bach Kills A Kitten... even though I have a song (a modern pop-like song, granted, and my only one at that) whose prog includes A Bm C#m D... but the chorus is really cool! A Bm G D (3x) / A Bm Csus2! And, anyway, it's kinda hard to write those chords in order with all the old rules... which is why I'm now determined to write a I-IV-viidim-iii-vi-ii-V-I song! (It'd make Mozart very happy! He said that he always used that progression when he wanted to make old ladies cry!)
