i will never learn to say goodbye at all at all at all
agh! all of a sudden the summer is done. or almost done. actually, it doesn't feel like the summer ever really existed in the world of young professionals (which is a wretched, wretched world); the most unsummerish summer of all summers. i mean, all things considered, i did a lot, but it never feels like that much. among other things i DID visit a civil war battlefield and a cavern. there is a robert E lee postcard on my shelf with Your name on it... just say the word, and it's yours.
it FEELS like i should be leaving for school (but i am NOT).

i got a raise today!
french class is très TRÈS bien
mom and patrick are visiting in a few weeks
i am coming home in mid-october for a week (and maybe a birthday?)
there's a lot to be done while your head is still young
