Feeling sad today

Some friends at work had bad news today, there will be two redundancies in their team, and they all have to reapply for their own jobs but then two of their colleagues will not be re - employed

I think that making people reapply for their own jobs is a particularly nasty way of handling a workforce reduction.

Its hard to have a nice way to do it but there are certainly options to make it less nasty as well :(
