(no subject)
First off, I started this post at 6:20 AM on a Monday morning. I then had problems with my internet, gave up on finishing it, and drove back from Richmond to C-Ville for work. I've got to finish this though.
I just wrote a note to Aliesje on her LJ telling her to update her LJ more often, and then realized that I'm probably guilty of not living up to my own standards.
So what's up with you all?

Well I'm in Richmond right now, came down for Mother's Day. Yesterday I cooked dinner for my mom (and my dad too, he gets to benefit from Mother's Day too I guess). My mom wanted seafood, specifically scallops, so I worked the dish around that. I made a tomato-basil-olive oil sauce for pasta (rotini), and cooked up about a pound of bacon--the cracked pepper kind. Some of the bacon was chopped up into the sauce, and the rest was added to a side dish of spinach and asparagus. I cooked the scallops in the bacon grease and they were perfect.
So that was a pretty good weekend, at least food wise.
It looks like I'll be moving down to Danville in about a week or two.
I had a lot more to say when I started this post, but then I drove to C-Ville and my mind kinda emptied out. Boo. :(
I'll probably post again once I remember everything I wanted to say.
One thing I'm thinking about is what to do after this campaign. I'm considering trying to find a cheap place to rent somewhere in Virginia for in between jobs, just so I have a place of my own, or moving to pursue graduate school. Or moving, period.
