..another reason I "adore" New Hampshire

I have now found the second most terrifying experience of my life. Driving at night, in this place. New Hampshire/ Vermont wins, above San Fran, San Diego, El Cajon Pass ( however you spell it ), the 395, and yes both even above Scotland and London.

How did it win the title of driving death trap with me? Well you take states that don't understand how to post a road sign ( let alone a warning before the road ), combine it with curvy mountain roads they call highways, interstates and freeways, put far fewer off-ramps then they have in the middle of the barren California/Arizona desert ( I'm serious ), and then take away all lighting for 20-30 miles at a time. Then add deer, elk, moose and yes, BEARS to the mix that can cross at any time. In my experience the animals love to hang out in the bushes and wait just close enough to jump in front of your car and kill you if desired but far enough to be basically a shadow. Then you throw in the fact that GPS systems only work in patches.
The topper in the fog. Every night this freaky mist rises ala "Dracula Movie" and combines with this thick ax murder hiding fog that allows you about 3 feet of clear driving. ( remember what I said about the animals ) No matter what the weather the fog will come and settle. Seriously if anyone of my friend's list is filming a horror movie this is your place. No wonder New Hampshire has so many hauntings. A huge chunk of them are probably angry souls pissed off about skidding off a road or trail and dying in this state. that would make me return from the great beyond angry as hell. I would be the story of the screaming girl in the ghost car cursing this state while a weird eerie mechanical voice repeats over and over "lost satellite reception".

Sigh* I could barely drive at night as it is now I can't because I'm honestly terrified. I need to get out of this state before this combines with ice and snow..
