I leave Saturday for UVA. I hope my conference is a lot of fun, but I expect it to be a lot of hard work. I'd like to see some of you guys before I leave. After I get back, I'll be home for about a week, and then I'll be leaving for Baltimore for my birthday. After that, it'll be early August and I'll (and most of you guys) will be getting ready to leave for college.
I want to have a birthday party or something this year actually. I dont want anything to do with planning it, so if one of you guys wants to do that, it would be awesome ;). I can't believe I'll be 19. I'm an old bastard...Most of you guys are just turning 18...
Speaking of college, I got home a few days ago from JMU for "Summer Springboard" (aka Orientation). I truly love it there and cant wait until I'm there for good. Both of my parents really like it too and that makes me feel like I made the right choice in going to the "burg" for school. I made a great schedule for first semester. On monday, wednesday, and friday, my earliest class is 905 and I dont have any classes in a row. On tuesdays and thursdays, my first class is at 1230. It'll be so much fun going to football games and all, and I really can't wait.
Lately, I havnt seen anyone from school in about 2 weeks. Basically that means that I've done asbolutly nothing lately. My nights have consisted of watching the O's games and playing with our new dog. I've realized from this the fact that I really have a lack of good friends that I can hang out with, and that really bums me out some. A lot of you have at least one person that you can always hang out with. I guess for me, that died in March. That's probably my one biggest regret so far: the fact that I dont have a solid core of great friends from high school that I can fall back on if I need help. I could depend on many of you if I really needed help, but I lack that one best friend I guess. Please dont take this paragraph the wrong way...I consider you all good friends who read this, but, I dunno...now I feel like an asshole.
Yeah...The Tour de France is underway, so I like watching that in the mornings. That was random...
Um...I havnt played a hockey game in weeks now. I was going to miss our game because I was at JMU last week, but the compressers at the rink died, so no hockey or skating took place because the ice couldnt freeze. We had a game scheduled for tomorrow (4th of July), but with much work, it was moved to the 24th.
The parents and I are going to the Tides game tomorrow, so that should be interesting. Nothing like being out in public with my dad.
