Tom had left their son in capable hands, booking two tickets to NYC. Having connections helped in the holiday rush. He got them a nice hotel with a nice view. Something he knew his wife loved anytime they stayed somewhere. It was late afternoon by the time they got there with plenty of time before festivities started.
