[Commentary] Mitsu Mangrove talks about Hanyu Yuzuru

Mar 09, 2014 16:08

I don't have the permission to repost the link for this video, so I'll just include the highlights from the clip. For the uninitiated, Mitsu Mangrove is a Japanese TV personality, cross-dresser and very witty.

Mitsu Mangrove and I clearly have the same tastes in choreography. She's highlighting every single thing that I loved about the Parisian Walkways SP. And as a dedicated fan should, she's also pointing out the differences between various versions of the same performance.

"THAT FACE!" says Mitsu.

Sometimes I wonder if I look like Mitsu when I'm concentrating very hard on a Yuzuru video.

"He brought out his ultimate weapon during the major performance." says Mitsu, as she refers to Yuzuru's innocent smile in front of the judges.

Also, the costume totally works as a dress.

Gotta give Yuzuru props for looking so nonchalant beside his childhood idol.

Plushenko-KUN.

The message here says:
Mitsu-san
The costume was lovely!
I'll master my short program! (LOL)
Thank you very much!
- Hanyu Yuzuru

AND.

Mitsu calls this pose of Yuzuru his "doyasuberi", i.e. "super smug skating pose".
