Strangers say the darnedest things
Dad, Cliff and I were looking for a Safeway in downtown Napa, CA. After being sent in the general direction by a girl throwing out the trash, but with no specific directions/address, we found ourselves wandering around in fruitless circles. We decided to ask for directions again from another person...
Me: Excuse me, do you know where the Safeway is nearby?
Man walking towards us: *Blank look. Shrug. Keep on walking*
Me: Oh okay, nevermind. Thank you!
Man now walking away from us - about 20 steps later: "Hey! I know there's one in San Francisco."
