I'm sick of explaining my job to everyone, this is how it works:
I sit at a PC with a telephone headset, I call supporters of 'Cancer Research UK', I thank them for the fact that they are regular donaters and ask if we can claim the tax that they payed to the government on the money they donated to us, so if they have donated a total of £100, we can get an extra £28 from Gordon Brown at no extra cost to them, they just have to give verbal consent. Its really cool because its never 'cold calling' so people are almosty always nice. In the future I will be asking for money, but it will be from existing donaters so they should be still fairly nice. Its fairly fullfilling work, I literally raise arround £250 a day for charity personally.
The pay isent great though, charities obviously have to be seen to limit their costs, so low wages compared to cold calling salsmen and NO bonus'. But the people are really cool. Oh the hours are really bad, but I like it overall.
If I get anyone of you a job there I get a bonus, interested????
