once upon a time in a faraway land full of wonders and happiness a king and queen lived and ruled peacefully. for many years they were without a heir, causing the queen to live with the feeling of sorrow and of not fulfilling her duty. the leafs were slowly starting to fall from the trees and the air was turning colder on their fifth year on the throne when they could with the greatest joy announce that the queen was with child.

their joy was shared with the people of their kingdom and many came to the castle with gifts of celebration, but the joy was short lived. the winter that year was harsh, snow falling in heaps covering the whole country in a frosty white blanket. the firewood that had been collected during the previous year was quickly used and soon they only had enough wood to heat a few of the castle’s rooms. the whole staff gathered together to keep each other warm and the king stayed right beside his queen, making sure she was warm enough and that no harm was done to their unborn child.

they were cold but joyful, the country gathered that winter and became stronger and closer.

it was nearing the end of the winter and the snow heaps were slowly melting, watering the crops that hopefully hadn’t been killed off by the frost when the neighbouring country sent a letter asking for the king’s presence to consult about some of the illegal trading going on between the two countries. with a small gathering of his best soldiers the king saddled his horse and was soon on his way.

one night the queen awakened with a scream, cold sweat covering her whole body as she tried to stop her hysterical crying, the baby was kicking and kicking only to cause her to break down even more. her maids were by her side in an instant and even to this day there’s haunting stories told about how she had sounded as if someone had ripped her vocal chords only half way out as she repeatedly chanted to herself ‘he’s dead. he’s dead.’

the next morning the messenger came bearing the message of the king’s fall. a group of robbers had caught notion of the king’s travels and planned a sneak attack, easily overpowering the soldiers with their large numbers. the king had fought bravely and his last words were to tell his wife that he loved her dearly and that she should do everything to keep their child safe.

the country was in sorrow their beloved king had fallen and his younger cousin was to take over the throne marrying the queen as his second wife to ensure her safety but if the child she was bearing was a baby boy he would one day grow up and be the rightful king.

the new king, king junmyeun was a kind king and the people of the country accepted him with less suspiciousness of a stranger than usual. the queen found him trustworthy enough to the throne to focus on the last months of her pregnancy. praying every night that she would give birth to girl. no matter how kind and open hearted a king junmyeun was if he got a son he would wish for him to inherit the crown and throne after him and if the queen had a son he would have to be rid off before that could happen. a daughter wouldn’t be a threat, she would at most just be wed to the son of the king.

the dew was heavy and weighed the leafs and flower petals down. the sun had barely begun to shine when the queen went into labour. the night before she had a dream, not much unlike the one she had when the king was killed. she would give birth to a healthy baby boy. a fair skinned and doe eyed beauty when he grew up. despite her grief and sorrow weighing her down the queen was a strong woman and had awakened with a plan and called for her pretty eunuch and the designated wet nurse.

as she had predicted the whole staff of the castle gathered around her as soon as the news about the labour had traveled throughout the castle, but the queen sent them away with a only slightly wavering voice and only her eunuch was left behind.

it was as if the whole country stopped breathing in that second when the small prince was born. unbeknownst to how different a childhood he would grow up in compared to other boys.

“I can’t wait to meet him.” luhan smiled bashfully as her fingers tightened their hold on her nanny. with a shy glance at the older luhan begins to fiddle with the long fingers laced with her own.

“you’re really excited for this aren’t you my dear?” heechul mutters. he had been in charge of raising the rightful heir of the throne in disguise as a woman. the queen had entrusted him to help her raise her son as a daughter and to do that she would need someone male that could pose as a woman while raising the little baby.

luhan had grown into a beautiful girl, his long black hair flowing around his head in soft waves that frame his pretty face. heechul would almost be jealous of the beauty the younger possessed if he wasn’t so fond of the prince(ss). he had raised luhan in a smaller cottage making sure that the younger would never be able to figure out that he was in fact male and not female as he so firmly believed. luhan had only ever bathed with heechul and all their maids were eunuchs just like heechul, eunuchs feminine enough to pass off as women.

“i heard he should be one of the most handsome guys in the kingdom.” luhan allowed herself to gush. she had been excited when the king upon one of his visits to their cottage had suggested a marriage between the crown prince and her to seal the old royal family with the new. he had showered her with praise of how beautiful she had grown up to be, taking just after her mother he assured her. telling tales of how the beauty of the old queen had entranced whole countries, but she had been the most loyal and faithful wife one could ask for. “you’re going to be just as wonderful.” he had said taking her hand with a soft smile patting her cheek, still muttering praises. it wasn’t until heechul had cleared her throat that the king let go of her hand and bid his gooddays and thanking for the kindness as always.

“yes. he should be quite the looker. nothing like his father.” heechul huffed. king junmyeun was at times pathetic to look at. small and wimpy, sometimes it was hard to tell if he was smiling or trying not to cry. “heechul you shouldn’t talk like that about the king. it’s not the right manners.” luhan chided his nanny and heechul can’t help the chuckle that left his lips as he ruffled the younger’s hair with a fond smile.

he was worried. no one but him knew the real gender of luhan, not after the queen passed away fifthteen years prior. a last prayer on her lips of her son’s well being and that heechul should keep the promise he had made all those years ago and never stray from luhan’s side. He hadn't.

luhan risked being killed. no matter what heechul said, the marriage between the crown prince and luhan would happen and on the wedding night the crown prince would strip luhan of his clothes and find their bodies similar in ways they shouldn’t be.

and tonight would be the first time for them to meet.

luhan twirled in front of the mirror. heechul had outdone herself this time. her dress was a rich blue with golden embroidery on the chest piece matching her favourite golden sandals that she had requested to wear this evening. they had used hours to tame her usually unruly hair gathering it with two small braids from each side of her head meeting in the middle and braided into one big braid laying heavy on the back of her neck. tonight luhan felt more beautiful than she ever had before and with a certain mind to charm a prince she called for her nanny to accompany her to the castle.

jongin had been less than interested when his father had told him he was to be married to the previous king’s daughter. he knew it wouldn’t make a difference if he told his father he wasn’t interested in women, but rather that he had had quite some fun times with the stable boy chanyeol.

now he was waiting for the announcement of the princess’s arrival so he could meet her and get it all over. his father was leaning in to whisper into his mother’s ear and they shared a soft smile before the doors to the dining hall was opened and one of the servants introduced ‘princess luhan and her guardian heechul’ and a angelic girl strided in with her head high and back straight, with a graceful bow she was seated just across of him.

"your highness" she bowed her head again to greet them all. at least her voice was not the usual ear cutting high, no it was rather soft with a slightly husky undertone so jongin would be able to stand listening to her talk if she turned out to be a talkative girl. she was older than him he knew, by four years if he remembered correctly. “my princess.” he greeted her back with a flash of a charming smile. he extended his hand for her to lay her own in which she did with downcast eyes and red tainting her cheeks. her hand was small and the skin smooth and soft, he placed his lips just above the knuckles. she shivered and jongin feltl the tremble in her hand and deliberately let his lips linger for a second too long. with a smile he straightens his back and nods politely to her maid guardian. the princess seemed interesting enough for jongin to approve of her as his wife for the moment.

luhan had a hard time not flailing at the sight of the prince. he was beautiful, sun licked skin prominent cheekbones and eyes a brown so dark luhan felt she could melt from looking into them. she restrained herself when he placed his lips on her hand from gasping in delight over how soft they were such a contrast to the long fingers lightly holding her hand. his fingertips were rough and calloused no doubt from years of training with all different kinds of weapons and tools. she wondered if when they got married he would take her out on long rides and show her a world she had never seen before. if he would go hunting and come home with a deer that the kitchen would prepare for them to eat for dinner. she wondered if she would be able to satisfy him if he would take mistresses or have enough in just her. luhan.

“my princess, please do tell me what you entertain yourself with out in your cottage.” luhan shot a quick glance at heechul to see if she could speak freely of her interest or if she should tone it down. there were a nod of approval and with bravado luhan looked up and met eyes with the prince to tell him of her days out in the cottage. told him about the books she read with care and curiosity, of the long rides she took her horse on out to the lake just nearby to look at the nature with wonder and amazement. she knew horseriding was not proper lady behaviour but heechul had insisted on letting her learn it so she would be able to flee if something ever happened. she tells him of her practising the bow and arrow in the back yard. shooting target at fabric stretched out.

the longer the princess talked the more intrigued jongin became. she was the perfect lady, not a single flaw in her etiquette. she was good at conversing, always remembering to include everyone, and telling stories, she would be a perfect hostess. yet she tells him of horse riding and the use of her bow. she was the most interesting lady he had yet to meet and when they bid goodnights at the end of the evening he was satisfied with the choice his father had made for him. he might have to seek to others for the physical needs but his wife will be someone he can talk with, discuss with and count on to give him a challenge in most areas. it was more than he could ask for.

their wedding is grand. royalty and noblemen coming from places far away to celebrate their joining in matrimony with extraordinary gifts and words of congratulation. luhan was delighted. her dress was beautiful, it had taken ten tailors ten days to sow. a long gown, small jewels sewn onto the fabric to create a glinting vision so that she’ll shine when they are bound together in eternity. heechul had been by her side helping her calm down so she wouldn’t cry in excitement. what she was most excited about was just about to come.

heechul had told her vaguely about what the wedding night would be like and she yearned for her prince’s hands on her body. touching her more intimately than anyone else had ever done. longs to feel his lips again, that short kiss that bound them together wasn’t enough to satisfy her.

but she was a lady and wouldn’t appear too eager for something that under other circumstances would be a sin. so when she was led into jongin’s chambers that night with the traditional white gown (they would look after blood spots on it so make sure she had been a virgin when the king took her) on she held her head high and with only a slightly wavering voice announced her presence.

luhan looked beautiful in the wedding night gown as she stepped into the room with the air and presence of the queen she would be one day and jongin felt lucky. he hoped he would be able to perform well and treat her with the respect she deserved. he beckoned her over to him were he was seated on the bed, his eyes trained on her every movement as she slid across the room elegantly placing herself beside him, her hands neatly folded in her lap.

she gasped lightly when he took one of her hands and kissed the thin skin on the inside of her wrist gently pulling her closer so he could kiss her lips. it was a soft and careful kiss, he was nibbling on her lower lip trying to not think of the two lumps on her chest or the missing body part between her legs. slowly he crawled on top of her making her lie down on her back, he continued kissing her thinking of all the most arousing things he could so he would get hard. thinking of chanyeol splayed beneath him and groaning he grinded down. at first he thought nothing of it, just continuing to kiss his wife and grinding down onto her but it was as if somehow something was wrong.

he broke the kiss and hoisted himself off the bed. “strip.” he gasped out as he quickly rid himself of his trousers not looking at luhan afraid his erection would wilt. “my prince, look at me please.” the soft voice he’ll grow to love muttered and his eyes raised to take in the sight of his wife. except it’s not a female body he saw. before him is a beautiful boy, with a cock straining against his subtly defined stomach. a groan left jongin’s lips involuntary and it was not long before he pounced the slighter male, pleasuring them both the whole night as he thanked god for looking upon him in kindness and listening to his prayers.

he got the perfect wife. female in the mind and male in the body. jongin couldn’t have asked for more.

so i hope this was good enough of a fill?
