Summary: JongIn is admiring his hyung's smile, while ChanYeol is worried about where JongIn's smile went.
Authors Note: Okay, so this is my first time writing EXO, it might be a bit ooc (please tell me if it is). This is supposed to take place at a fanmeeting. I know it's hard to figure out from the fic. Inspired by a fancam where I couldn't help but notice Kai only smiling when asked to and he just looked in pain. And some pictures of ChanYeol taking care of Kai. Please do leave a comment and tell me how it went.
JongIn looked up at the older boy, admiring the smile adorning his face. It was beautiful, so full of happiness and so blissful. JongIn had always looked at the taller boy’s smile when he felt that he lost his own in the endless practices.
ChanYeol notices JongIn spacing out staring at him and neither of them notices how his smile turns more gentle and fond when he jokingly bums shoulders with the younger, the two of them sharing an almost shy smile.
ChanYeol couldn’t help the falter of his smile when he saw how quickly the smile fell from JongIn’s face and tiredness taking over his whole body. The taller one missed the JongIn filled with energy and eyes shining with lust for life.
“I miss your smile.” He hears a low voice in his ear and JongIn can’t help but think So do I. He settles for a forced smile, but when he looks up at the other he sees worried eyes and no sign of the smile that he loves.
“If you can’t smile don’t fake it.” The sincerity in the elder’s voice throws JongIn off the track and he doesn’t even register the flashing of lights aimed at them anymore.
“Hyung, can you smile for me till I find mine again?” It takes a second or two before ChanYeol reacts, but when he does it’s with a full blown smile and JongIn can feel his world lighten. His back doesn’t seem to hurt as much, the flashes and the screams don’t annoy him like before.
“Anything to get my favorite smile back.”
