I am SO tired, but this has been one of the best days of my life. Seriously. Whew. Okay, soo this morning I went to church, and sat in a small pew with the youth, but we had the whole thing filled. Ten people total... I was squished between Lindsay and the armrest. I mean, like, sardine-esque squished. It was great.
Umm, sooo, we went to Captain D's and ate. I'm not a fan of Captain D's, but I was starving, and they have edible items, so it worked.
The coolest thing EVER, though, is that the last person I hugged was Mr. George Huff. Oh, yes. And if you don't know who he is, I'm going to assume you were living under a rock during my 8th grade year and didn't watch American Idol 3. 'Cause he's from there. Soo, I went to the Ft. Henry Mall with Kristin and her mom, we went to Subway... yadda yadda yadda... went downstairs and sat down close to the stage. We waited for an ETERNITY... actually, just about 20 minutes, then I hear someone from the staircase yell, "Kristen, he's here!" to one of the people running the whole thing, and a couple minutes later, I hear some screams and applause... soo, I look up at the staircase and there he i... wait, no, it's just a mall employee. Okay, THERE he is! It was the most exciting thing to happen to that mall since... well, since me. Yeah, sooo, then he sang. It was right perdy. He sang mostly Christmas songs, and maybe 1 or 2 songs from his album... and since it was Sunday, and he's smackdab in the middle of the Bible belt, he sang, "The Old Rugged Cross." I liked it much. April and I sang, and he said he saw us... =) I love Christmas songs. A lot. And I loved American Idol season 3... soo, that just made my whole life. After it was over, we got autographs! He hugged me TWICE! Yes... twice. I'm still really excited. He gave Kristin two autographs (one for her brother), and me an autograph (in the cut), and we both got a picture with him. I wish my film was developed... oh well. I asked him to sign it "Huff the Magic Dragon," and told him I've always called him that, and he laughed. =) George is serioiusly one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's ALWAYS smiling, and he gave everyone a hug... and me two of them. =D That is just about the coolest thing ever.
We went to Pal's after our exciting adventure, and I got some good food. Umm, then I went home for a few minutes and got ready for church. The lovely Goinses picked me up, yet again, so I could go watch Jeremiah (Kristin's brother) preach. It was good. And the music was good... the kinda stuff my great uncle sang at my old church, and a couple of newer songs. We sang "Amazing Grace" mixed with "Peaceful, Easy Feeling." That was AWESOME, but I couldn't stop laughing. Oh, yeah. And the best part was, Kristin gave her brother his autograph right before he went up to preach, while some little kids were singing... I thought he was gonna wet himself or something. He's like, "THAT's AMAZING!" but we were two pews behind him, sooo, the people behind him were like, "What in the world?"
I feel like I've been in church ALL DAY with 30 minute intervals between three services or something. And my feet feel weird 'cause I've been in my huuuge high heels all day. I love this feeling.
