Instead of a long overdrawn encyclopedia version of things going on in my life, I give you the dictionary version:
2008 Silver Honda Civic-- I got a car back in September. Yay me. I absolutely love it, and it's amazing gas mileage despite the fact that I speed like a teenage boy. Stacey also enjoys the fact that she no longer has to drive me to work.
Grad school status-- I have applied to Michigan State University, University of Michigan, and University of Chicago. I hope I get into at least one of them. At present however, I do not miss the doldrums of classes.
Merlin and
Raven-- Our cats are they're usual crazy selves these days. And did I mention, spoiled rotten. Merlin had a crazy adventure one day while we were out and sprained his tail--yes, sprained his tail. Raven is still obsessed with food and weighs in at 18 pounds. She's our adorable little bowling ball.
IKEA-- If you haven't been to one, go. . . GO NOW. I wish I had money to buy a house so that I could fill it with some of the nicer things from there. Stacey and I went there with Julia. I wish we could hang out with her more often.
My Mother-- She visited me over Thanksgiving and we had a great time. My brothers and I gave her a Wii for birthday, a surprisingly great gift for her. Wedding date of May 19, 2008 (decided on a whim). She forgot to tell my brothers she and Bill are getting married, even though they spent their entire winter break with her. My mother is hilarious and I love her.
My brothers-- Michael is enjoying his internship at a small film company in Austin,TX doing minor editing stuff for them. He's also gotten back into the habit of going to the shooting range (I'm very jealous, why can't there be a shooting range closer to me?). Grant has transferred to UTA after a slight issue at Southwestern. He's closer to home, has his own apartment, has a job, and overall will probably thrive now--good for him.
Winter holidays-- Stacey and I enjoyed them. Celebrated Winter Solstice by having a potluck with friends. Christmas was decent, we spent half the day with her family and the last half with mine. New Year's Eve was uneventful, we stayed home and watched a movie.
New couch and LCD HD TV-- They really improve the decor and overall aesthetic of our apartment.
Assassin's Creed and
Halo3-- My current addictions and bad habits. Hopefully, Dan will agree to play with me every now and then.
WoW-- Stacey's current addiction and bad habit. Rob comes over every Wednesday and plays with her.
Convocation-- Big pagan conference in February. I'm pretty excited. Stacey and I should have good time.
Motor City Tattoo Expo-- Also in February. I can't wait to see all the artists and their work. Going to this will help Stacey and I choose which artists we would like to go to in the future.
Books to read--
The God Gene by Dean H. Hamer and
When Elephants Weep by Jeffrey Masson and Susan McCarthy. Both were Christmas presents from Stacey.
I think that covers all of the major things that have occurred recently in our lives. I'll try and update more often in the future.
