The Margaret Cho/Ani Difranco show was absolutely amazing and wonderful!  :WHHHHHHHHHSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH: Watch out for the hurricanes!!  LOL--God that was good.  "Go to the guest bedroom, the one where the bed has three comforters.  The middle comforter does not have a cover.  Go to the bottom left hand corner.  Put your eye to that level and go four inches to the right.  On the fourth inch you will find a small pocket.  Open verry verry carefully, so as not set off the explosives.  In the pocket is a key.  Remove the key.  If you're still alive, hold the key in your right hand and turn around quickly, without thinking!  There you will find yourself in front of a mirror.  In the reflection of the mirror, you will see a cabinet behind you.  Go to it.  In it you will find a locked box.  The key you hold will unlock the box.  In the box you will find further instructions."--Margaret's beautiful impression of her mother giving her instructions on how to find the family valuables.  And who can forget the Al Gayda!?  "That's one sleeper cell you don't want to mess with."  Oh how I loved it!  (And I didn't mind the view of a couple ladies sitting in the rows ahead of us either.)  It was interesting to see and sort of hear Ani for the first time.  She's definitely a little fun bundle of energy and refreshingly honest.  I have to say though, I prefer her spoken poetry to her singing.  Her singing is good and all, but she intersperses speaking with the singing, which frankly ruins the cadence and rythm of the song.  After the show, Stacey had us listen to some of Ani's recorded music in which she sings the whole way through---that stuff is a lot better.  I better watch out now, I'm liable to get kicked out of the lesbianhood since I'm not totally obsessed and in love with Ani.  The chick is cool and all, I just happen to prefer some different styles of music.  Although, I could have listened to her little partner on the bass all night long--the bass just feels so...enchanting and hypnotic.  Bruce and Margaret rocked at any rate, as they always do.

Now I think I'm gonna head home, and call the pet shop to see if my little snake is ready to be picked up.  I sure hope so, because I'm gettting tired of waiting.
