Okay, I admit! I'm spoilt rotten this birthday.
I can't help it with three consecutive birthday celebrations, can I?
I figured I better pen down my thoughts and a few kodak moments before it runs out! On the 30th May, there was the Surprise Wai Aung mission. There was ballons, markers, cake, food and more food, and beer. What I loved most was the laughter and the never ending conversations at the table full of my closest friends from Secondary School. Most of whom I really thank God for being in the same school with. (: I'll upload the pictures in the next entry.
Followed by 31st May, a much needed break for everyone. There was the Pampering Constance mission, and I'm darn lucky to have this mission last for two days straight!! Early in the morning, Sherman popped by with a Barney's Happy Birthday balloon and brought me to exactly where I knew he would bring me. It's our birthday tradition. East Coast Park with sparkling juice and royal chocolate cake. This year, Sherman outdone himself by bringing TABLES AND STOOLS. No wonder we got many curious stares. Needless to say, Barney totally enjoyed himself by the beach. And so did we. To make it even more special, Sherman sang me a birthday song written by him. And that, is for me to know and for you to never find out. :p
Right after the morning breakfast by the beach, we headed down to Vivo and start my shopping spree. All expenses paid. It sure felt good to have your pick of clothes without worrying about burning a hole in your pocket! Of course, I worried about burning a hole in Sherman's pocket but then I remembered what Jac said, "It's your birthday present! Stop being so practical!". Well, it's done! Haha! Sherman bought me a really cool T-shirt and blazer from F21 and I decided I have enough shopping for the day.
Then came lunch. Sherman brought me to Marche at vivo. We have always wanted to try it. The food was absolutely delicious. But after 3 buffets this week, I think I have just enough about food. I ain't talking about it no more. And when I'm no longer feeling so bloated and fat, I'll upload the pictures. I have also made plans to go jogging / swimming at least three times next week. Lol!
After lunch, Sherman tricked me into telling the Cinema staff that it's my birthday and I'd get to go into any theater I want. I almost fell for it. Right till the last minute when cheeky Sherman surrendered his tickets (which he got from S.A.M machine earlier that week) and we caught Shrek 3 with a theater full of kids.
When the movie ended, we hurried to Nails@ I-forgot-what and I was pampered with a light foot massage and pedicure. It was my first pedicure and I can't help but feel out of place with absolutely nothing to read or do except looking at how the manicurist shape my nails. I think she couldn't take it either so she handed me a stack of magazines and gave me a kind plastic smile behind her mask. I don't know how I feel about having my manicurist digging her ears while filing my nails. Hmmm?
It was supposed to be Express Pedicure but it lasted for 45 minutes. That, to me, is not express at all. So instead of having my shopping spree part two at Dhoby Ghaut, I was chauffered to meet my lovelies for steamboat dinner (buffet again!) and novena.
I have got really cheeky friends. First, they told me that they really wanted to get me a Crumpler bag but due to budget constraint, they could only get me.... a Crumpler plastic bag. -_- While I was perfectly fine with it, yes, I did find it a little strange but I let it pass, and was all smiles and happy with my Crumpler plastic bag. Until we left the restaurant, we were all at the bus stop, then my cheeky friends gave me the real thing. I was so surprised! (And of course, secretly relieved that I need not carry a crumpler plastic bag on sunday, like I promised) What's even more amazing is that they got it just the design I wanted! And I did not tell them a single clue! (Well, maybe Sherman did.) :p
So that night, I went back home with a really round tummy and a happy wide grin on my face. Despite the fact that I over-ate and overdosed on prawns and mushroom (hey, it's steamboat! what do you expect?), I went to bed thank God and my lucky stars for making me the luckiest girl on earth. Sherman tuck me into bed and planted me with a Birthday Kiss before leaving me to la la land.
I woke up this morning to find a surprise waiting for me in the mail box. In the end, I was rushing to school and forgot all about it. My dad picked up the present and thought it was some kind of prank. It turns out that Sherman bought me the Music and Lyrics dvd that I wanted so badly to watch but couldn't find it in the rental store! Sah-weeet!
Went to school and everything felt normal until Sahara mentioned the life and death announcement and my class sang me a birthday song before rushing for lecture and test. Now, can I just say it once more, I have got really cheeky friends. Jeslin, waiaung, derek, jac and ester surprised me with a box full of cute little cookies with m&m's on top and candles and a really loud birthday song. Jeslin and Waiaung also were such darlings they queued for donuts because they know I love it! Ahhhh!! You guys are the SWEETEST. (:
Then there was the anti-climax part where we all went back for lecture, followed by a test for me. I am still a happy girl, despite knowing for sure I'd flunk the OPEN BOOK TEST.
When school ended, I rushed off to Dhoby Ghaut to meet Sherman and continue my shopping spree part two. Hehe. Followed by another buffet dinner at Kuishin-Bo with the family. Most importantly with mommy because it's her birthday too! (:
Wow, that is really a long entry. Heh. Pictures up soon. It's bed time for me. Good night, world. You have been good to me. (:
Thanks for all you lovelies who has made my birthday so special for me. Me love you all.
