in love
It is so amazing how God speaks to you through His word.
I had some issues within myself that I think only God knows. It suddenly hit me that she's right, I've been too harsh and judgemental. Many a times I thought I acted with love, only to find myself doing more harm than good. Pride is evil, it stops you from loving. It is only when you lay down your pride before God and start to see your mistake, that you learn what He has planned for you to.
Romans 14:4
Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
Romans 14:12-13
So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore, let us stop passing judgment on one another. instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
Romans 15:7
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order ot bring praise to God.
It wasn't something that I asked for. To have the truth so bluntly put before me. It is as though God was holding a conversation with me! He knows exactly what I was thinking, how I was feeling, and gave me the exact words that brought me straight back to Him. All I could do was get on my knees and pray. "Teach me how to love, Lord."
And then I read this.
Romans 12:9-12
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
So He not only tells me what went wrong, what to do, He even tells me how to do it. Can you believe it? This is how real He is. Now that He has shown me the way, it's right about time I act on it.
