Last saturday, i attended a musicians retreat at church. I don't think i have ever sang so much in my life, not even christmas. We sang for hours and hours, during the retreat, during the worship rehearsal, during dinner, at the bus stop, on the bus, everywhere basically!
The musicians retreat led me to see a different side of worship. It made me reflect on my own worship attitude. In every worship, there is only one audience, that is God and God alone. I take comfort in knowing that He graciously accepts our mistakes and continue to motivate us to worship and glorify His name. I learnt that worship does not limit only at church, but everywhere else, as long as there's a song in your heart that sings praises to Him. Worship doesn't even have to be in a song! It can be in a prayer, an action, anything that would please God is an act of worship. I'm so thankful that God did not allow me to stop serving just because i was scared. I'm still learning to overcome certain barriers and i keep reminding myself to focus on how God can change me, instead of how i can change myself.
After the worship rehearsal, QinQIn, Minhui and i dropped by Esplanade to check out the dance marathon that Qiz was telling me about. We reached at the hour of Bollywood dancing, brought by Bollywood SG. We squeezed our way onto the dance floor and just boogie-ed away. While the bollywood dancers danced like a pro, we three danced like telly tubbies. It was fun though, i think we really needed a time to just let loose. Right, babes?
Meanwhile, i'm down with the flu bug, and the pills are having little effect by far. It's gonna be a busy week ahead, with many birthday celebrations to come! My daddy's, sherman's mom, sf birthday celebration. Not forgetting the piling workload at school, the endless tutorials and projects which i've yet to touch. Pray for me dearests! Lord, give me strength!
Jesus, your love it lifts me high
Gives me a reason to run this race with joy
This song within me, Lord
Will bless your holy name!
