It's been a bad work morning for me. I have just received a whole new list of numbers to call and i've got to finish it by the end of this week! I sure as hell do not want to stay in the call center any longer than i have to! I want my classical!! :( Oh, and i accidently broke the door handle. Oops.
Last night was much fun. Right after work, i rushed off to sherman's house and stayed a while to decorate his room. After which i cabbed down to town to meet the birthday boy and headed down to Hyatt Hotel. Poor boy, he looked so disappointed when he saw that i didn't bring his present with me. But of course, i have kept the best for the last. He sure is a happy boy when he saw the Puma sports jacket that he's been eyeing for so long lying on his bed when he got home. (: Surprise operation, success!!
Back to dinner, we had dinner at The Straits Kitchen. I was really looking forward to it, Jackins couldn't stop raving about it after having her birthday celebration there! I was so excited, i literally hopped around the restuarant, looking at the beautiful presentation of Chinese, Malay and Indian food. Can i just say, wow. The Straits Kitchen may not have the best local food, but it sure does have a wide variety! Be it main course, fruits, or desserts, there were so many to choose from! It was a special treat for us. (: We were so stuffed that i honestly thought i would puke. I didn't even managed to try all the food! Just imagine.
I'm just glad that the birthday boy enjoyed the day. I was so tempted to just tell him about the surprise because i couldn't bear to see his disappointment. But i held my tongue and only dropped neccesary hints when he sent me home. Hehe, he got the hint and dashed right home! So cute. Gonna have another birthday celebration with his parents tonight. Man, all this good food is killing me! =x
Anyway, i want to talk about rainy days. Oh yes, i love rainy days. They are the best to sleep in. But i digress. While walking to the bus stop this morning, i was reminded of an incident that happened when i was in secondary 3. I met my best friend, karen, and we walked to school like we always do. Out of nowhere, it started raining cats and dogs. We both had umbrellas, so it wasn't much of a problem for us. But many students were stuck at the block of flats directly opposite my school. Karen and i decided to share our umbrellas. We sheltered some students through and fro. The other students who saw us followed. Soon, quite a few students offered their umbrellas and sheltered students to school and back. We were late, and missed the morning assembly. But we were later told that the principal actually mentioned our names during the morning assembly and praised our umm, good deed? Haha, that sure was fun. I wonder if Karen remembers any of it. After this incident, students whom i have sheltered always smiled at me whenever they see me in school. That was nice. I felt like some sort of mini celebrity for a while. Hehe. Yes yes, i'm bragging about it now. But my point is, wait, i'm not sure what my point is. Is there any point to start with? Okay, i'm such being pensive. This is what rainy days do to me.
Better get back to calling now. Don't think i can meet the deadline. :(
