After a busy day at church, Sherman brought me to a nice dinner date for some peace and quiet. And peace and quiet is exactly what we've got. We went to an Italian restaurant at Changi Hotel, and I was impressed by how posh the hotel is (I didn't expect much from that part of Changi!) but what striked me most was how peaceful and quiet it is. It really felt like we were away from all the busy hussle of the city for a while. ;)
The staff were especially attentive, and though the food review we read online all pointed that the food were not good, it didn't bother us very much because we were too busy enjoying the view.
The food weren't that bad either, so I guess that's okay. We had arabiatta with bacon and mushroom, and a stack of roasted veal with mushroom sauce. We had no idea what veal is but we decided to be adventurous and try a new dish this time round. The meat was very soft and tender, tasted something between chicken and pork, but we later found out that it's a calf. (Wikipedia: Veal is often compared to beef but is lighter in colour and finer in texture and veal usually comes from a (male) dairy calf), eeks.
We rounded up the satisfying meal with a chocolate souffle for dessert, yums. :)
"Love is when he took one look at you and knew that you were having a bad day, and then try to cheer you up after. Love is when he looks at you across the room and you both smile like you are sharing a secret joke. Love is when he cuts your food into small bite sizes because you had a cut on your tongue and it hurts when you chew too hard. Love is when he lets you choose from his new stack of stationary because you lost your expensive pen. Love is when he lets you have the last bite of the dessert and the last sip of drink. Love is when he holds your hand while he drives and listen to your complaints, all the while telling you that everything is going to be okay because he loves you."
