Since the name 1724 came about for my youth group, we often joked about how we will never starve to death like what the chinese "yi qi er si" would mean. And it is very true, my dear friends.
Just last saturday, someone suggested to have dinner at Toa Payoh Lor 5 hawker centre (just opposite of my place) and we had claypot chicken rice, hokkien mee, bbq chicken wings, carrot cake and oyster omellette. Somehow, we were not quite satisfied and someone suggested durians so off we went to Geylang for round 2 - durian and mangoes. The durians were not as good as they boast of it to be, but the company more than made up for it. There was loads of laughter and silly moments, I like.

I also really enjoyed the prayer meeting before all the feasting began. It's been a long time since we last had such close sharing and pray for one another. I guess as we grow older and move on to the next phase of life (poly, uni, working) we all have different needs. The temptations and struggles that we face, our interests and external environment may be very different now, but one thing stays the same - our passion for God. I think praying together like this really strengthens our bond not only among ourselves, but also with God as well. Now, this is what I'd call a true fellowship. And I'm so thankful to be a part of it. :)
