lazy sunday afternoon
"What a lazy sunday afternoon."
"Yeah, it's been a long time since we've had one of that."
Every new year, my sister and I would give our parents a treat as a way of saying thanks for the generous ang bao. This year is no different. Unfortunately, mummy is at a gathering with my aunt, so she missed out on the treat. We brought daddy to Sushi Tei at Serangoon Gardens.
It was really crowded there so we had to make do with counter seats. The food was fresh and the service was quick. But I don't know what's up with the air-conditioning of the restaurant because it honestly felt like a volcano in there! We were glad to make it out after our lunch, sweating buckets, so daddy suggested ice cream. And I knew exactly where.
We went to Awfully Chocolate, and thank God it's open today. We got a tub of full, rich and absolutely sinful ice cream back home. It's so rich that we could only manage a few mouthfuls before keeping it back into our little freezer...
And I can tell somebody's really enjoying his lazy afternoon... Excuse me, while I go and work my ass off for projects that will be due next week!
