Aggh. Old

Shit. In less than 15 hours, I will enter my 30th year (for those of you not too hotsy on the math, that means I turn 29).

While it may not SOUND that old, it sure as hell feels like it. I think the worst bit is I'm surrounded by a bunch of teenagers at my workplace. Damn. Youth, as they say, is wasted on the young.

I'm realizing that things I did in university happened 10 years ago. I bumped into one of my old friends from the CUSC (Carleton university Strategy Club, which was my major) and realized we both used to have a lot more hair.

God. Time's a bitch. I hope the party tomorow is enjoyable. Cindy & I went to the pre-fun restaurant, and it was enjoyable. I'm gonna try the curry (they have a different curry every day).

I am rather concerned about my old boss, William. If he and his wife Meredith make it, there ain't that much vegetarian friendly food on the menu.

Christ. I've known Meredith now for going on 9 years. That's a long time. It has now been over 8 years since Clarke McMurray saved my life by pulling me from a flaming car wreck.

8 years ago, I was living with my parents after getting kicked out of Carleton (where the K stands for Quality!). I was getting addicted to New Dimensions, which was an okay BBS and developing a reputation on Fidonet.

I liked living in Kingston. I made a few stupid mistakes (more of omission than action) and wrecked a car. Kingston has very nice qualities to it. Aside from the suburbs. The limestone city is gorgeous, and has shockingly large amounts of things to do. It's best visited in summer, when the herds of students are off being annoying somewhere else.

I'm growing history while the fields of my potential grow fallow. It's all rather diseheartening. I hope I don't slam full force into a midlife crisis. I heard those were supposed to be reserved for when you were heading for 40.
