Today in Final Countdowns
Okay, so, in about a week, you know what's gonna happen? I'm going to shoot someone in their face, and their head will fly right off.
No, I'm not planning a shooting spree. The new Fallout game comes out in a week.
I'm definitely late to the party on Fallout. I never played parts one or two, but I did get the Fallout 3 GotY edition for Christmas from Cynra last year. I'm still nickle and diming a few missions here and there (I still need to find a Behemoth or two), but it's so much fun. I just found a cowboy and a samurai on a spaceship!
I got deep into it, though, and for a couple months it was my regular entertainment at home. Eventually I finished the main game and started getting distracted by other entertainments.
Admittedly, the terrain was a little drab, but my God was there a lot of it. In Fallout 3, you had the entirety of the capital wasteland to explore, butting up against Super Mutants, mutated animals, Enclave troops, and Talon mercenaries.
I kept my karma pure, so I managed to grab the various "good karma" acheivements. Yay me!
I'm very much hoping for lots of wasteland travelling and casino gambling in this game, plus the aforementioned face shooting.
