So Monday night
kinra and I got together at the Green Beanery yesterday to record the latest
episode.
The GB has a meeting room, so we figured it wouuld be a good venue for recording in.
There were hitches.
The meeting room is an old bank vault. It is a large concrete room, and is not very well ventilated. It has a large fan in the corner which can be used to move air.
This fan, tah dah, is noisy.
Not quite as noisy as a commercial sized coffee grinder, but not quiet, and quite persistent.
So we had the choice of smothering or being drowned out.
Then, after nearly an hour of casting, Audacity, the recording program we use to make SATBG, crapped out on us. Whoops!
Redoing a podcast after an initial recording is kind of cool. You're working under more of a framework, having already processed most of the things we were going to talk about. So it's hopefully more coherent and focused.
I'm not betting on it.
I'm not sure if the final version included me schooling
kinra on Improv or not. Never say no, dude!
Anyway, it'll be up shortly, so keep your ears... What do you keep your ears, anyway? Keeping your eyes peeled makes a certain sense if you see the lids as skins of some kind, but what do you keep your ears? Uncovered?
Anyway, up shortly.
We followed that artistic endeavour up with dinner at Gazale which we consumed in a nice little parkette behind the Bloor cinema. The decorations on the chessboards are nice.
